The Silk Road is a place where textiles, art, history, and family converge; it is also a journey. My name is Miranda, and together with my fabric friends, we would like to invite you into the fascinating world of Testfabrics.
Testfabrics is a very special fabric store. As our name suggests, our fabrics are used in testing. We are an industrial company and we manufacture test materials that are used as standard controls and substrates for the world’s textile industry. That is how most people know of us. We sell the little pieces of fabric used in standard textile testing around the world.
Mff 10A is correct, we are known for our test materials, and without a knowledge of our fabrics, I could not bring you this blog.
I learned all about fabric by way of the Testfabric’s laboratory. I am a third generation family member of the company, and before I came to work here, I never gave textiles the time of day. Having a fabric company in the family did not mean I was automatically a fabric person; but Testfabrics has rubbed off on me. I have learned a lot about textiles, more than I ever thought I would. I have gotten to be a part of some very interesting projects, and have seen some fascinating places, all because of Testfabrics.
Testfabrics is a company but also an educational resource. We are here to help and to have fun, spreading the news about fabulous fibers and telling some really great yarns while we are at it. There are no wrong ways, and there is nothing pointless, in the path of knowledge, and that is what the Silk Road is for me. I hope you can find a moment to get lost with us.
